Getting the Care You Need
Without the Runaround
Insurance should not stand between you and the right surgeon. Dr. Graham's practice participates in a wide range of commercial plans, government programs, and workers' compensation carriers — and our staff works to make the billing process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because Dr. Graham is affiliated with Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute (JOI), patients benefit from JOI's broad insurance relationships across Northeast Florida. Most major carriers contract with JOI, which means fewer surprises when it comes to coverage.
One important note: Dr. Graham deliberately operates at three different surgical facilities — Baptist Beaches Hospital, Horizon Surgery Center, and Jacksonville Beach Surgery Center. Each facility contracts with different insurance plans. If Baptist doesn't accept your plan, Jacksonville Beach Surgery Center may. The strategy is intentional: to give every patient a viable path to surgery, regardless of their insurer.
If you have a plan not listed here, or if you're unsure whether a specific procedure is covered, the best first step is always a phone call to our office. We'll verify your benefits before your visit so you can focus on getting better — not on paperwork.

Additional Coverage Options
Workers' Comp, Self-Pay & Military
Beyond standard commercial insurance, Dr. Graham's practice accommodates several additional coverage situations.
Dr. Graham treats hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries sustained on the job. Whether it's a crush injury, laceration, fracture, or cumulative trauma such as carpal tunnel syndrome, workers' comp patients receive the same level of expert care as any other patient.
Please let our staff know at the time of scheduling that your injury is work-related. We'll coordinate directly with your employer's carrier to ensure the authorization and billing process stays on track — so you can stay focused on recovering and returning to work.
Call to schedulePatients without insurance, or whose plan is out of network, are welcome at Dr. Graham's practice. Self-pay pricing is available for office visits and procedures. We believe cost should not be a barrier to seeing the right specialist — particularly when the hand or wrist injury requires expert attention.
Call our office to discuss pricing before your visit. We'll give you a clear picture of what to expect so there are no surprises. Certain in-office procedures may be especially cost-effective for self-pay patients.
Ask about self-pay ratesDr. Graham accepts Tricare and Tricare for Life, making care accessible for active duty service members, retirees, and their eligible dependents. With his Jacksonville Beach location and JOI network affiliation, scheduling is straightforward for military families in the area.
Tricare often requires a referral from your Primary Care Manager (PCM) before seeing a specialist. Contact your PCM first, then call our office to schedule — we'll coordinate the rest.

Surgical Venues & Facility Coverage
Dr. Graham operates at three facilities — intentionally. Each accepts different insurance plans, which means if one facility is out-of-network for your plan, another may not be. The goal is simple: no patient should be turned away because of where they have surgery.

Straightforward answers to the questions we hear most often.
In-Office Procedures: Lower Cost-Share for Patients
For eligible procedures performed in Dr. Graham's office — trigger finger release, ganglion cyst excision, mucous cyst removal, and select others — no hospital facility fee or separate anesthesia charge applies. These are billed as office procedures, which typically means significantly lower patient cost-share compared to the same procedure performed in a hospital operating room. Ask our team which of your procedures may qualify.
